My m4p files are listed in myfairtunes, but when I start the converting process the log states for all of them "m4p not found".
The files are stored on a NAS station and that works fine with iTunes and my streaming server (as well on the NAS).
Could the storage location cause my problem. However, I copied them to c:/ drive and imported those files to my library in Itunes, resulting in the same effect , no file convertion.
I guess it's just a minor thing , but I don't get it.
Any hint is appretiated.

I have the same problem, although a couple of my files were successfully converted. The rest are "not found" even though they appear in itunes and myfairtunes. I legally purchased them, and the ones that were converted were from a mixture of purchase dates. If it helps any, I'm running windows xp media center edition.

Hint...neither mFT or QTFU work from a NAS. The files must be local and must be part of the iTunes library.

So they're on your local hard drive AND part of your actual iTunes library?

I'm pretty computer illiterate...so I'm not too sure what you mean by that. They're definitely in my iTunes library.

EDIT: Drive C would be my hard drive, so no they are not there. There under an iTunes folder in My Documents.

So you're telling me that you can play all these songs in iTunes, and they show up in mFT, but, when it goes to convert them it says file not found? I need to see the mFT log...

That can't be good. I'll have to look at it at some point. I simply do not have time today to do so. I'll post back when I get a chance to look into this. In the meantime IF you can do something for me it'd be useful. Take one of those songs it can't find, I don't care which one, open up your iTunes.xml file in an editor(notepad, wordpad, whatever), search for that song, and paste the xml section for that song here that'd be very useful.

No, I never got to. I've been insanely busy for the past couple of months. I've had literally 0 time to investigate anything in the mFT code. I'm not even the developer of it at all, so, the fact that I was even looking at it is a bit of a stretch to begin with. Smile

However, all that being said, no, it will definitely NOT work from your NAS as it should state in the FAQ somewhere. Your issue doesn't have anything to do with this one.
